Installing Pro/ENGINEER

Starting with the CDs you created from the ISO images, insert the first CD. The program to install Pro/E should start immediately. If it doesn't, go to Start | My Computer and double click on cd-rom drive. Then double click on the setup.exe file.

Once installation starts, select United States for the country. Click Next.

Read the License Agreement and click to Accept it. Click Next.

When you get the splash screen shown, click on Pro/ENGINEER as the product to install.

Keep the default Windows Preferences suggested. Click Next.

Click Add. On the Specify License Server screen, choose Locked license file (no server running) as shown.

Click on the folder to browse to the location of the license file. (Download and save the license file to your local machine.) Select the file. Click OK twice. Click Next. Finally, click on Install.

During installation, you will be asked to insert the second and third CDs and then to insert the first CD again. You will get a message saying that installation is complete.

Running Pro/ENGINEER

Start Pro/ENGINEER from Start | All Programs| PTC | Pro ENGINEER |Pro ENGINEER. If you get a Windows Security Alert dialog box, keep clicking.

Congratulations. You've installed Pro/ENGINEER on your computer.
