How to Create Pro/ENGINEER CDs
Download WinRAR
Download
and install the WinRAR software for Windows (download here ), if you have not
done so already.
To
install, double click on the wrar360.exe file to execute the installation
utility. Click
the “Install” button on the window that appears. Follow
the prompts to finish the installation.
Unpack .ISO files
Next, you must
unpack the .ISO files that you downloaded, each to their own directory. Make sure you have at least 2GB of available disk space for the .ISO files.
Open WinRAR from Start |All Programs.
- Find the location of your .ISO files in your WinRAR
navigator window, press the “Up one level” button to return to your “My Computer”
folder if necessary. (see below)
- Double click on the first .ISO file for Disc 1
- Choose the path for the files for the disc to be
extracted to, and click “OK”. (see below)
- Follow steps 1-4 for the two remaining
disc image (.iso) files.
Burn CDs
Now these files must be burned to 3 CDs so
that you can install them on your computer.
- Insert a blank CD into your CD-R/RW drive.
- Open two file browser windows using “My Computer”. In the first
window, open a reference to the blank CD that was inserted. In the second window, open the
folder containing the files for the CD to be burned (the files just extracted
with WinRAR).
- Copy and Paste the extracted files to the blank CD window, then click the “Write these files to CD.” option, located
in the upper-right.
Follow these three steps for the remaining two CDs.
Install Pro/ENGINEER
Proceed with the
Pro-ENGINEER installation.
