Using the Engin Domain![]()
On 3 July 2009, CSS moved all accounts into a domain called "engin." Previously there was only the domain named "engr." For people running Windows on a CSS-managed computer, you should select the Engin domain when you login (see illustration below). Once you are converted to Vista, you won’t need to select the domain; that conversion will occur over the summer and CSS staff will interview you before the Vista switch is made.
For non-CSS managed computers: if you map a drive in the engr domain, you must connect to those mapped drive(s) using engin\name.
Read about how to map drives from Windows and Linux.
Read about the home directory path change.
See the consultant in 1253 SC, (319) 335-5055, for help using engin. Report your problem to request assistance.
