Information and tools to use your engineering computer account effectively.

Scratch Space In 9/06 CSS created scratch (temporary) space for all student accounts.

Account Tools  Go here to use the account tools that show your mail quota and set mail forwarding and vacation.

ICON is the course management system selected for use campus wide in 2005. Local use information. On-line help for ICON.

Elluminate Live! lets you talk, display and share whiteboards, and share applications over the Internet. Local use information.

EASY (Evaluation and Assessment SurveY) is a computer-based survey tool used in the college for course and instructor ACE evaluations, entry and exit surveys. Read about what EASY is and how to use it.

Class account tools (grade program, web site, plagiarism detector) and information about class account.

Forms

Use the on-line forms to request general assistance or to report a lost item. There are forms to request a CCAD account, use of 1245 SC or the video conference room, network connections, file restores, and server requests. You can authenticate to download Matlab, Pro/Engineering, and Microsoft campus software.

Computer Tools

Things for self-administered computers on campus and at home.

Windows Security Patches Microsoft issues Windows security bulletins and Office updates regularly. If you administer a Windows computer on campus or at home, you should install the Microsoft patches provided with these bulletins. Check this page or the Microsoft site on the 2nd Tuesday of each month for updates.

Connections Go here for information on connecting to the Engineering network from a remote location, secure connections to CSS Linux and Windows computers, mapping your home directory for use at home, using a wireless connection, or using the public ports.
