How to Run a Report-

You can run a report from any Internet session on any machine, on or off campus. The preferred browser is Netscape or Mozilla as we've found them to process the reports quickly. In addition, both use only 1 license for multiple Internet sessions (multiple report runs). We have a limited number of fairly costly runtime licenses.

However you may also use version 5 and newer of Internet Explorer if need be.

  1. Click on one of the report links below
  2. Follow the instructions on the screen. Use your Engineering account ID and password for "data base login information."
  3. Click "OK / Yes / Grant" to all security warnings that appear.

    a) If you get an APS Logon Dialog box, your web reporting session's license has timed out.

    You will need to:
    Close the login window,
Close the report output window (if appropriate),
Click link on the Scheduling Report browser window to re-run current report
    and repeat step 2 above.

Noteworthy Items:

The page navigation, print, export, group tree, zoom and search functions appear as
tool bar icons at the top of the report window. These are functional as long as the license
has not timed out (5 minutes of inactivity in the Crystal Report Viewer window). It is best
to print, view or export your report immediately so you are not required to re-run the report
to do these functions. To find out more about these functions click here.

If the report times out, follow the steps in 3a above.

You can export the report to your computer in any of the following formats (.pdf recommended):
.doc, .xls, .pdf, .rtf

To run a second report:

  1. Close the report (Crystal Report Viewer Window)
  2. Click Current Folder link on the Scheduling Report browser window
  3. Click on the desired report link
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen. Use your Engineering account ID and password for "data base login information."

OR

  1. Return to this page
  2. Click on the desired report link below
  3. Follow the instructions on the screen. Use your Engineering account ID and password for "data base login information."
