Security  on the CCAD network.

A security threat was detected by the ITS security team on Saturday morning, 12/23/2006.
At that time CSS staff was notified and the CCAD network was isolated and the threat was analyzed.
CSS staff notified CCAD staff by email and web site for security issues created.
The security compromise began Friday evening 12/22/2006.

File Storage

No files have been compromised, file servers are on-line and operating.

Password

No passwords have been compromised, active directory is on-line and operating.

Network Connections

On Saturday the CCAD network was isolated and all outgoing or incoming traffic was stopped.
The Wide area network traffic is available starting Sunday. 
Remote access: Available
Electronic mail: Available

Computers and Software

All compromised computers will be rebuilt. General use software will be installed first. 
Specialized software will be ranked and installed over the follwing week.
